AUC Chairperson: Food systems transformation is not just a moral imperative

At #UNFSS+4, AUC Chair H.E. @ymahmoudali issued a powerful call to action: Food systems transformation, he stressed, is not just a moral imperative: it is a strategic necessity central to achieving the SDGs, especially ending hunger, reducing poverty, & building climate-resilient economies.

Africa is taking bold steps; with the CAADP-Kampala Declaration, AfCFTA, and $40B investment targets—to build resilient, inclusive, climate-smart food systems. “But we cannot do this alone,” he warned.

Global partners must honour commitments, unlock financing, and support African-led solutions.
