While nominations in line with contributions African young and senior women have made in advancing peace and security within their environments and beyond are very welcome, a final selection of nominees will be conducted by a nomination review panel consisting of experts from both the African Union and the United Nations. The nomination review panel will recommend selected nominees to the African Union and the United Nations leadership.
The nomination review will be guided by an open and transparent process when selecting nominees to be featured in this commemorative book. The nomination review panel will make considerations for fair representation of all five regions of the African continent and a diverse range or backgrounds in relation to contributions to the women, peace and security agenda.
